Malou Tiquia, CNN Philippines host, presented on the good provisions in the 2017 General Appropriations Act.

The 3.35 trillion budget for 2017 will be compromised in dsitribution for free State University and Colleges education and a universal healthcare program, among many others.

For the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), 8 billion will be allocated so that all College students in the country will no longer enroll in any SUC with tuition fees, it means they will study for free.

For PhilHealth, P3 billion will be distributed for universal healthcare for all Filipinos, and also free medical treatment for indigenous patients in government hospitals.

For the Department of Health, P1.521 billion was distributed for the Doctors to the Barrio program, it will cover the construction of additional health facilities, and medical assistance to indigent patients. DOH was also given P2.646 billion allocation for the establishment of DOH-Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers in regions that don't have facilities.

P100 million budget will be given to centenarians and additional funding for feeding programs.

P4.4 million will also be given to thw beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and will also receive a rice allowance in form of cash grants.

For farmers, they will be given 2 billion for their irrigation fees.

Meanwhile, an additional P1 billion will be allocated under the Small Business Corporation so it can provide loans at almost no interest to micro-enterprises.

Along with that is an allocation for the combat and incentive pay of the military and police worth P12.1 billion, as well as funding for the Capability Enhancement Program of the PNP.
