P7.4 Billion Expansion of Manila Harbour Centre Approved by Pres. Duterte




President Rody Duterte earlier order the local government of Manila headed by Mayor Joseph Estrada to hasten reclamation projects, in response to the President's call, Mayor Estrada signed a historic agreement with Philippine Reclamation Authority. There will be construction consortium for the P7.4 billion expansion of the Manila Harbour Centre in Tondo.



According to Mayor Estrada the memorandum of understanding between the City of Manila and PRA officially seals the partnership in coordination with R-II Builders, Inc., for the multi-billion peso expansion of the 79-hectare port facility.

The P7.4 billion expansion of Manila Harbour marks the Duterte admin's first foray int reclamation as a key component of an infrastructure development framework as noted by former Pres. Erap Estrada.

Mayor Estrada also added that the expansion of the Manila Harbour "means more jobs, economic opportunities, and billions of revenues not only for the ManileƱos and the City of Manila but also for the entire country,” Estrada added.
